Restarting operations in South Africa

May 6, 2020

We are bringing our telescopes in South Africa back online this week. The Dome B and Dome C 1-meter telescopes can be scheduled starting today. The suite of flat fields is old so all data taken in the near term will be reprocessed after the flats are updated, in approximately one to two weeks, depending on the weather. We will send a separate notification once this is the case. In the meantime, use the new data with caution.

We will notify you when the Dome A 1-meter and 0m4a telescopes are available for science imaging, as well as once NRESĀ  will be available again in the Southern hemisphere.
