The Cocoon Nebula (IC 5146, Caldwell 19) is a reflection/emission nebula in the Cygnus constellation. It is located approximately 4000 light-years away and has a span of around 15 light-years. The nebula contains a cluster of 9.5 magnitude stars also known as Collinder 470. It is a stellar nursery where new stars are being formed.
