Las Cumbres Observatory is installing three new 1-meter telescopes that will complete our network in the northern hemisphere. We are also in the process of adding six new robotic spectrographs through the network that will enhance our capabilities.
Las Cumbres Observatory provides telescope time to 8 different programs worldwide that run classroom astronomy activities.
We host a series of Astronomy Talks in Santa Barbara and we produce Astronomy on Tap throughout the year.
Las Cumbres Observatory has pioneered the software tools that make our robotic telescope network efficient and accessible to all users. As new telescopes are being constructed around the world, it is part of our mission to lead the way in developing software tools for the global community of astronomers.
Our own scientists at Las Cumbres Observatory conduct ground-breaking research in Supernovae, Asteroids and Near Earth Objects, Exoplanets, and Black Holes.
