I will present the contents of the final Kepler planet candidate catalog. After 8 years of operation, the final version of the Kepler processing pipeline produced 4034 planet candidates. In order to generate robust planet occurrence rates, we quantified both the completeness and reliability of the full pipeline. I will outline the updates to the previous analyses using the new products, and explore the effects of remaining caveats. I will present preliminary improvements to existing occurrence rate calculations with the new catalog. Finally, I will briefly introduce the NASA TESS mission and the next steps towards characterizing exoplanets.
