Asteroid Candidate Follow-Up Observations
About
Since 2018, Friends' Central Students have been searching for asteroids through the International Asteroid Search Collaboration (IASC). Access to LCO affords us the opportunity for rapid follow up of our preliminary detections. This increases our chances of recovering preliminary findings and turning them into provisional detections, registered in the Minor Planet Catalog. With continued observations by us and others, these provisional detections could become numbered and named asteroids.
