Abiy Tekola
I will be talking about LCOGT supported education program happening in South Africa in partnership with the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO). This education program focuses more on engaging with students (both primary and high school) in the small town Sutherland where LCOGT's telescopes are located. The program uses astronomy as a tool to stimulate the interest of students towards maths in particular and science in general. In addition to discussing specific highlights the program accomplished, I will also talk about the different challenges faced.
