Pomona Student Wins Chambliss Prize for Research on Exoplanets

About
In this project, we plan to involve African citizen scientists in soft astronomy research using the Las Cumbres Observatory for three main purposes: conducting astronomy research and publishing findings on celestial objects within our Milky Way galaxy, such as double star research and variable stars; contributing to the Exoplanet search effort by training our teams to utilize the LCO; and enhancing astrophoto visualization skills. Our goal is to elevate the basic astronomy skills of African citizen scientists to meet current demands.
